Met this sweet girl at Henley’s Apple Orchard and we had so much fun together. Sydney is a Class of 2014 student at Monticello High School! I loved getting the chance to talk to her and to laugh together. She rocked this location with her sweet smile and simple style! I loved capturing her bright beautiful eyes in our close ups!
Good luck in all you do this year Sydney! Keep in touch and enjoy every moment!
Loved working with the Charlottesville Ballet again. This was my second year photographing them, and it’s always so much fun! We got some amazing shots at their fabulous new location–such yummy natural light! If you haven’t been to see them yet, you really must–it’s such a treat. Or, better yet, they offer classes for kiddos–and I’ve heard great things about these classes. Sign your little ballerina up for one of their fun classes–I am sure she’d love it! Enjoy these beautiful dancers! xo andrea
We had such a beautiful fall day on the day of this shoot. The light and the weather was just perfect! We shot at one of my old faves–Ivy Creek. These guys drove all the way from Washington DC to work with me. It’s always an honor when people make time to travel from afar to work with me! The last time I worked with these peeps was about 5 years ago–their kiddos were so much smaller and now they’re all grown up. As a family photographer I definitely am reminded how quickly children grow up as I see my tiny subjects grow up year after year! Enjoy this sweet beautiful family’s pix! xo andrea
Yes, she was! I adore working with this sweet little one and her mama! They have THE BEST style which just makes my job that much more fun! We were able to shoot at a lovely location and the rain even held off long enough for us to get our shots. Hope you enjoy this little peanut and her mama as much as I do! xo andrea
I love working at Maymont Park and I adore this sweet family, so suffice it to say I LOVED this shoot! We had a great time shooting at this beautiful location–so many lovely backdrops to choose from! Working with little ones can be so challenging, as they usually only have a window of time before they crash and burn, so you have to work fast–but it is truly rewarding when I can give their parents adorable shots to remember their sweet little ones at this stage in life. These little guys melted my heart! Enjoy their sweet pix and their adorable expressions! xoxo andrea
This was the last of my adoption shoots for the year. I have fallen in love each time I do one of these. The funny thing is that when I started doing this, it was to give back to others, however, I have received way more than I’ve given. I’ve gotten to see love, sacrifice, acceptance, kindness, patience and most of all LOVE! This family was no exception! You can read more about their adoption story below. Enjoy and be inspired!
“Adoption was not something we had originally planned for our family. We had four terrific children and our lives were busy. But God had been whispering in our hearts for several years. The thought that children were growing up without families to love and support them forever was heartbreaking to us and we wanted to share what we had.
Four years ago, we traveled as a family to Ethiopia to adopt our daughters Jemila and Kulate (biological siblings). The trip was life changing for all of us. This past March, we traveled again – this time to China – to meet our newest daughter, Mia. The struggles, sacrifices, and joys of adoption have been a privilege, and we feel blessed with our three “gifts” from around the world!” ~The Snell Family
I love shooting in the fall! We shot these images at Mint Springs Park and the leaves had just started to fall and get crunchy! These little ones were so sweet and fun–I’ve loved working with them year after year. Seeing my little clients grow up is one of my biggest joys in my photography. I hope you enjoy these cuties as much as I did! xoxo andrea
What is senior year all about? Friends!
So glad to have had the opportunity to hang out with these two young ladies! We had a lot of fun giggling and chatting the night away during our session. Life is always more fun having a best friend by your side!
I’ve always had a special place in my heart for Ariel! I’ve been lucky enough to have known her for many years. It has been amazing watching her grow into the young woman she is today. Such a warm heart and love for others!
What a lucky treat to be introduced to one of her very best friends Elle! Elle was full of spunk and energy! I loved her personality and how she made me laugh more than I probably made her laugh! Thanks Elle!
Can’t wait to see where life takes these two! Thanks ladies for the fun times and great memories!
