Sorry I haven’t posted sooner, but I’ve been BUSY with some beautiful boudoir sessions for Valentine’s Day and this sweet little one. . .
I love to photograph newborns! There is something so magical about a new little life! This happened to be my first shoot of 2009! Isn’t she BEAUTIFUL!!!
Love this shot!
Look at that hair!
My favorite shots to take are the ones with the parents. I love capturing the love they have for their new little one!
My favorite from the shoot!
Happy Tuesday! Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful snow!
Finally, finally! It has been a lot of hard work but it is up! We are officially booking weddings for 2009 and beyond!! Take a look and let us know what you think–www.andreashirey.com. If you are interested in booking for 2009 or later give us a call. We will be only taking a limited number of weddings due to our very busy portrait business. We are looking forward to a very busy and successful 2009 and would love for you to be a part of it!
Well, we are finally home from the beach. I have mixed feelings–as it was a very wonderful, sweet time for my family–but it was very good time to be home in our nice snuggly little home in the woods. It’s amazing how things seem fresh and new once you’ve been gone for awhile. Charlottesville has become our home and while it is nice to leave, it is always nice to be back!
So here are a few shots from our very last full day at the beach. It was absolutely FREEZING on this day, but since I really hadn’t picked up my camera for much of our trip, I really wanted to get some shots of the kidlets before we came back to reality. It was quite sunny–so I got to really play with light and shadows! Love this first shot!
This is my girl. She can be very difficult to photograph! I love this shot of her so much!
My big burly man–who surfed almost everyday we were there–total nut job!!
This is my favorite shot of all. I love how the two of them are interacting–so sweet and natural. She is being such a typical 10 year old in this photo! Not really sure why it is so exciting to give your parents bunny ears in photos–but pretty much every kid I photograph does it!
Our third child who I think was convinced that he had died and gone to heaven!
I know this is a bit soft, but there is something so fun and beachy about it!
An nontraditional family shot!
My two sweeties. There was an amazing–AMAZING pier at the end of the beach. I took the rest of these under there. The colors and the architecture were just beautiful!
So thats it for now. Thing will begin to get pretty busy in February–with many sessions and a trip to Vegas–so I will have more to share soon! I am very glad to be home–and back at it–I feel refreshed and rejuvinated and ready for action–so bring it on!! I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the new year!
Just a quick note to let everyone who may be interested in booking a session the we are now booking into June! We do have some slots left for March, April, May, and June, but things are filling up quicker than I have anticipated. So, if you are hoping for a specific month or date, please email soon as I really, really hate turning people away! Looking forward to seeing all of you this year!
We continue to have a wonderful, relaxing and rejuvinating time at the beach! While here we have developed a new obsession that keeps us combing the beach for hours–Sharks teeth!! Since this photo was taken, we have found many, many more of all shapes and sizes. But here are a few–as you can see, there are a couple that are quite large!
