Yup! That is right. We are headed off for some MUCH needed R&R. For 8 whole days I will sit on the beach, swim in the pool, PLAY with my kids, take naps, take long walks on the beach, and not touch a computer! We have been looking forward to this for several months!
Our office will be closed from August 28th – September 14. I will not be reachable by phone or email–and will return all emails and phone calls upon my return. If you are interested in booking a session, please send and email or leave a voice mail with the dates you are interested in–booking priority will be given in the order the messages are received. We only have a few spots still available for the rest of 2008–so I wouldn’t wait too long. I am really looking forward to a busy, fun fall with everyone and plan to come back refreshed and renewed from my little jaunt!
I did not have time to post or finish all of my Holiday cards as of yet. However, I did want to mention my Holiday mini sessions (I know, I used the same photo as last year. Can ya blame me?)
Just shoot me an email with the date you are hoping to book.
Alright, thats all for now. Signing off for eight whole days–I’ll be back with some awesome family shots from Turks and Caicos!!!!
I had the great pleasure of working with this great family yesterday! I am working hard to have them their proofs before I head off for TWO AND A HALF WEEKS!!! Aren’t they a cute couple? They just went together so well!
They have three beautiful boys. . .
A little color so you can see their beautiful blue eyes!
Thanks for a great day yesterday y’all!
On a different note, I am working hard on my 2008 Christmas collection–will *hopefully* have it done and posted by the time I leave–four days and counting!
This was such a sweet family to work with! So enjoyable! We started off in the back yard hammock with mom and baby. One thing I noticed right about about both of them is they had happy, cheerful eyes! So welcoming!
Future Red Sox player?
See what I mean about his happy eyes? He was such a joyful little guy! Mom and dad are so lucky!
I LOVE baby fat rolls–could his little legs be any cuter?
Love this one of mom and baby! So beautiful!
Dad is a Law student at UVA, so we thougt it would be appropriate to shoot there–love this shot!
Be back soon with more! Only one week left before I head out on vacation!!!!!!!!
So this beautiful woman asked me to help her with some modeling portfolio photos! I had a blast–so fun and different from my typical shoots! Our goal was to capture who she was and also to show that she is very versatile and can pull off many different looks! I think we did it–she changed 5 times in the span of two hours!! Here are some of my favorites:
She wanted to show the mother aspect of who she is. So we included her three adorable kiddos in a few!
I LOVE this shot!
Pretty versatile don’t you think? This change was made in about 5 minutes! I really, really love these next two. They are so stunning! I love the contrast of the old building as the back drop! I should mention she designed and made this dress–she is a very talented lady!
Love this sexy shot!
That’s all for now–be back soon with lots more to share. I am officially taking the day off tomorrow–heading to King’s Dominion to play all day with my kiddos–so all calls and emails will be returned on Thursday!
This sweet family was so much fun to work with! It was a joy and a pleasure to hang out with them for the afternoon!
Mom and dad. . .
Their three beautiful kids!
We sent the kids off for a moment and shot some lovey, dovey shots of mom and dad–l love these!
Remember these two little guys for earlier this year? Well they are their cousins–and suffice it to say that they do not agree on who is better in baseball. . .
Grandma got in on some of the action. . .I just love this shot!
Then we changed into some fancier clothes–they clean up well huh?
Last but not least, this sweet girl is extremely talented with softball. She wanted to do some formal shots out on the field. I just love it when clients come up with great ideas! These are so much fun!
Thanks you guys for being such an awesome family to work with!
So I got to spend a few hours with this wonderful family who happened to be visiting Wintergreen to celebrate these two beautiful peoples 60th birthdays! Aren’t they just a beautiful couple!
We decided to do the shoot at Wintergreen Winery–which if you have not been there. . . GO! It is a fabulous little winery set in the middle of the mountains with breath taking views all over! Their wine is awesome–especially the Raspberry! This is the place that we head to when we need a break from life and don’t have time to take a long vacation–it’s like a mini vacation!
I have to say it was such an honor to work with this family–it is so encouraging to meet such a strong couple who has been able to stay committed to each other for so many years and still truly be in love and raise a beautiful family–what a gift!
This photo shoot was a gift from their beautiful children and children-in-laws (is that a word?). . .
and of course the adorable, yummy, sweet little grand babies! Do they come any cuter than this??
I LOVE this next photo–this is the kind of grandparent I want to be one day!!
So while grandma kept pulling the wagon–grandpa got to take a little time with this little one who konked out on us! So sweet!
And finally, THE CHAIR–which sadly will have to be retired after my car accident. But, I was kind of wanting to look for something different anyway. I am glad I got to use it for this one last shoot–these really turned out beautifully!
Thanks you guys for such a wonderful shoot! You were all great sports [even with the SNAKES (yikes!)]
By the way, didn’t they do amazing coordinating their wardrobes! This is no easy task–they really did great!
Meet Grace–One of my favorite people in Charlottesville!
She also happens to be my pilates trainer and the new owner of Momentum Pilates–the BEST pilates studio here in Charlottesville by far!
As you can see from the above shot, she is top notch at what she does–I almost have a six pack to prove it! We’re still working on it! I cannot recommend Momentum Pilates enough! If you are looking to strengthen and tone your body and really work on your mid section, this is the place to visit! I can honestly say doing this is one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself in a long time!
